The company controls its panel and furniture factories in Mainland China, which enables it to develop safe and long-lasting timber materials. Melt Limited founder Alvin Lee studied architecture in Australia. With over 25 years’ experience in the design and building industry, he has participated and finished more than 250 projects. Most of the projects are located in Hong Kong, China, and Asia Pacific. Variety covers residential, commercial, retail, office, hospitality, F&B, and public art installation, in both architectures and interiors. The clients are from private to developers and corporate such as Nike, Kerry Properties, Swire, Chinachem, LVMH, Apple etc. Some of the projects received awards from worldwide in architecture and interiors categories from A’ Design Awards in Italy, Germany Design Awards, Outstanding Property Awards London, Paris Design Awards, Berlin Design Awards, Shanghai Design Awards, A&D Design Awards in China, Hong Kong Institute of Architects, American Institute of Architects, Hong Kong Interior Design Association, Hong Kong Designers Association etc. In 2016, he founded an award-winning design studio, now the Melt limited, to provide architecture, interior, high-end as well as art furniture design consultancy services, and contracting. With his lead, the team won over 20 international awards last year. Professional and quality are always the elements to make this happen.

Afloat Studio is a vibrant architectural and interior design practice based in Hong Kong, founded in 2023. Specializing in the exploration of “in-between” spatial dynamics, the practice employs blurred boundaries to craft intricate, immersive experiences that harmonize architecture with human interaction. Co-founders Kong Pui Sze Jessica and Lam Ho Wang Owen, both registered architects, are dedicated to expanding creative horizons across diverse projects. Their notable accomplishments include international and regional honors, such as the First Prize in the 57th Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition and the First Prize in the Open Group of the 2014 Design Ideas Competition for Kai Tak River, hosted by Hong Kong’s Civil Engineering and Development Department. Owen has been recognized with the HKIA Young Architect Award in 2023 and the Perspective 40 Under 40 in 2024. The studio seamlessly tailors solutions to clients’ visions, transcending styles to evoke emotion through colors and textures, come up with unique solutions, and uplift spaces via engaging interactions.
