This project draws inspiration from 'modern Japanese style,' with its core centred on the combination of light oak veneer and delicate wooden lattice grilles. In the entrance area, a partition and a stone island establish a harmonious blend of Japanese and Western aesthetics. In the living and dining area, the storage cabinets utilize hidden doors and curved-edge detailing to eliminate sharp corners and the visual heaviness of furniture, allowing for a smoother visual flow.The original study has been converted into a split-level design, cleverly utilizing vertical space by dividing it into a loft bedroom and an extension of the living/dining area. The master bedroom continues the Zen-inspired theme, where lattice sliding closet doors and a curved headboard echo one another. This is complemented by subtly embedded lighting that allows the wood grain to come alive through the interplay of light and shadow. The design perfectly fuses the elegance of traditional Japanese rooms with the convenience of modern living, creating a tranquil, breathable sanctuary.
