By taking down the only partition wall in this one-bedroom apartment, the proportion of the space is redefined, turning this house with a ceiling height higher than 3m, into a homely & minimally designed space.

Although the window in the living room originally is quite large in size, while because of the orientation of the apartment, there isn’t enough natural daylight flowing into the house. With the original wall of the bedroom transformed to a full-height glass partition, the whole apartment is warmed and brightened up, offering a high degree of refreshment to the project. The window itself is further emphasised by adding a light-toned wood frame, making the bay window a nice corner to stay on.

Material selections are kept in a minimum extend, with a light tone of oak wood and a pale blue textured wallpaper as the only 2 feature colours in the apartment. The charcoal grey painted metal framed glass partition becomes the high-light of the space, offering the contrasting colour to the overall material palette.
